It addresses issues related to the Information Society (IS) and its characteristics, principles and goals as seen by the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense. The article points out the actions needed to be taken so that the goals of the IS are achieved. It also points out the importance of strengthening national security and optimizing the defense management in the establishment of IS. In this respect the article deals with issues related to developing C4I systems.</p>
